Absences & Sickness

We ask you to notify us as soon as possible if your child is ill and not able to attend nursery.

If your child becomes ill whilst at nursery, we will make every effort to contact you, or your nominated carers if you are unobtainable. If we are unable to contact either yourself or the nominated carer, and we continue to have concerns about your child’s condition, we will take them to your GP. If a serious situation were to develop at any time we would take your child to hospital.

If your child has a temperature, contagious infection, or is otherwise unwell, we prefer you to keep them at home until your GP gives the all-clear to return.

A medication permission form must be completed before nursery staff can administer prescribed medication to a child.
