The nursery is inspected by OFSTED annually for standard care. OFSTED also inspects the educational provision for pre-school children.

Independent Inspections & Assessments

The premises and equipment have been inspected by the fire service. In addition to this, all fire fighting equipment is checked annually. The water heating system and gas fires are serviced annually and checked for safety. All portable electrical appliances are tested for safety each year.

The kitchen and food preparation procedures are checked regularly by the Environmental Health Department, according to the legislation in the Food Safety Act 1990 and Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995. Our most recent report stated, “A recent inspection of the premises revealed that the above legislation had been complied with and that a particularly high standard of food hygiene was evident.”

Pre-School Learning Alliance

The nursery is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance. We access their training courses and receive regular visits and support from the PLA field worker.
